TCAN1043-Q1: About TCAN1043 application in the datasheet

Part Number: TCAN1043-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1043

Hi all,

I have question about TCAN1043 application in the datasheet.

Are 100nF right next to the Vsup, Vcc, Vio bypass capacitor?

The resistor, connected to the WAKE pin, pull up resistor?

What is the 3.3kohm resistor which is connected to the Vsup?

Thank you

  • Garam,

Thanks for bringing these questions to E2E!

The 100nF capacitors near the power supply pins are indeed bypass capacitors.

The 33k resistor is meant to protect the WAKE pin against high current in the event of a GND loss in the system. 3.3k is actually meant to be the pull-up resistance to set the state of the WAKE pin. These resistors and the circuit connect to the WAKE pin overall are explained further in the TCAN1043 datasheet on pages 29 and 30 in section 10.4.6.2.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
