DP83867IR: DP83867 cannot link with PC

Hi team,

My customer is using DP83867, RGMII connection with MAC side, link partner is PC.

Everything looks good in auto-negotiation mode, the link is good. But when they force DP83867 to 10M speed, it cannot link with PC, when they force DP83867 to 10M speed, the link is not stable, it can link with some PC but other PC cannot.

Below is the register status of  DP83867 forced to 10M speed and strap configuration status.

Can you share your advice about possible reason and related debug actions? Many thanks!

    In your question you say:  But when they force DP83867 to 10M speed, it cannot link with PC, when they force DP83867 to 10M speed, the link is not stable, it can link with some PC but other PC cannot.

    So are you forcing to 10M in both situations? I am a little confused with your statement because you say it can't link with the PC then you say it can link with the PC. Which is the correct situation?

    Sorry for the typo make you confused. I have get update issue from customer, pls refer to my update question description as below, and ignore above description.

    DP83867, auto-negotiation mode,RGMII connection with MAC side, link partner is PC, PC forced to 10M/Duplex. DP83867 cannot link with PC.

    However, the link works well when PC is auto-negotiation mode, but when PC is forced to 10M from 100M or Auto-negotiation mode, DP83867 can not link up with PC until DP83867 is reset.

    Below is the register status when PC forced to 10M/duplex and cannot link with DP83867.

    Hello YJ,

    Please confirm if I am understanding this properly:

    Scenario with link = PC and DP83867 are both in Auto-Negotiation

    Scenario with no link = PC forced to 10M/100M and DP83867 in Auto-neg

    Am I missing another scenario when there is no link?
