Hi,

My customer is going to have a project with TUSB9261.

The following is the info they provided:

For standard UFI command(or SCSI Commands) defined for USB Mass Storage Class, the bridge IC process them as usual.

But for some specific commands,the bridge IC will pass/get the payload to/from the micro SD Card via 1-bit or 4-bit SDIO interface. (1-bit is enough, but 4-bit better)

The SDIO interface of bridge IC can be implemented by GPIO using software/firmware in this design.

Please help to check :

1. If it is achievable by modifying TUSB9261 FW?

2. Does it have any SW or HW limitation for this application?

Hi Mike,

This document provides more information on what the GPIOs of the TUSB9261 are typically used to implement: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla315e/slla315e.pdf

1. We have not implemented a SDIO interface using the TUSB9261 FW and it exceeds the scope of what the GPIOs have been used to implement previously.

2. We cannot support new firmware development for the TUSB9261

Please note that our support for the TUSB9261 is limited to existing code / documentation only.
