TUSB8044A: USB2.0 trace length of TUSB8044A

Hi team,

My customer is evaluating our TUSB8044A for their hub system.

They would like to know whether they need an additional usb2.0 redriver for their upstream port of TUSB8044A.

Their USB2.0 trance of upstream is about 5000mil, now. Would you suggest ti put a extra u2 redriver? Thanks.

    Hi Feng,

    A USB 2.0 trace length of 5000 mil should not be an issue if good routing and quality connectors are used.  If there is any concern, the customer can design in a USB 2.0 redriver footprint for the TUSB21x device part and install it if necessary.  The routing for the USB 2.0 redriver is pass thru.
