Hi Ben,
- Check the PoC network against the datasheet/EVM recommendations. It should include a 100uH inductor to provide sufficient blockage of the back channel signal. The PoC network on the 933 and 934 should be the same.
- Rin pin negative is terminated with 50ohm resistor.
- Make sure SEL pin is selecting Rin0
hi Jiashow,
I have found that 2 design guides are different, which one should I follow? What is the timing of the use of both designs? (TI 964/TI934 on the system side uses 4.7uH+100uH)
4.7uH+100uH

Only 47uH
Hi Ben,
I would suggest the 954 2 network (figure 42). That one is the most up-to-date recommendation: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds90ub954-q1.pdf?ts=1590795214149
Hello Ben
Values for L2 are given in the table below Fig.42. I
Thanks
Vijay
Hi
So L2 can be 4.7uH. We have given two recommended manufacturers that are automotive qualified for L2 values. So that should be OK
Inductor, 4.7 µH, 0.350 Ω maximum, 700 mA minimum (Isat, Itemp) 160-MHz SRF typical, 3.8 mm x 3.8 mm, AEC-Q200 1008PS-472KL Coilcraft Inductor, 4.7 µH, 0.130 Ω maximum, 830 mA minimum (Isat, Itemp), 70-MHz SRF typical, 3.2 mm × 2.5 mm, AEC-Q200 CBC3225T4R7MRV Taiyo Yuden
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Ben,
Yes, I would recommend 4.7uH as described in the 954 datasheet. Use R2 = 2kohm.
