I'm trying to figure out how the IRQ is utilized in TPS65987 for I2C Master ONLY bus. It doesn't seem like it's propagated anywhere else and I'm not quite sure what the PD controller will do when the interrupt is triggered. Is there some embedded support inside the *87 for some peripherals? Can you provide some details of what the interrupt will do?

Hello David,

The TPS65987D is not capable of interacting with IRQ events when acting as the I2C master. The TPS65987D acts as a blind master in the sense that it does not read any registers from the connected slave but only writes. Also, the slave cannot get the attention of the TPS65987D through the use of the IRQ pin.
