Hi,
VESD was degraded by revising the datasheet.
Could you tell me why it is weaker?

Greetings Kuramochi-San,
Based on recent re-evaluation, we had to reduce HBM ESD from 5500 to 5000 on pins 13,27, and 29. Please note these are open-collector pins. These pins are SDA, SCL, and Lock indications. Rating on pins that may have external connections have not changed.

Nasser-san,
Thank you for your reply.
Because the die has been revised, do you re-evaluate the ESD tolerant test?
Why is the tolerance weaker than before?

Kuramochi
Hi Kuramochi-San,
Die has not been changed. This parameter has been re-evaluated and we have updated the data sheet based on the latest evaluation.

Nasser-san,
Thank you for your support.
Why is the ESD tolerance became weaker by re-evaluating?
Best Regards,
Kuramochi
Hi Kuramochi-San,
The LMH1297 device has 3 open drain pins: SDA, SCL, and Lock indication. We had asked to evaluate LOCK pin ESD rating since this was not clearly mentioned in the data sheet. We were expecting the same result as SDA and SCL. However, result for LOCK pin showed 5000V. Then we asked to re-evaluate ESD on SDA and SCL pins again. Result showed 5000V and thus we updated the data sheet to show the latest result.
