We are troubleshooting boards which are operational from our last build, with ones that loose lock intermittently on a newer build. Can you advise if there have been any silicon updates between these two parts as marked below? Can you also explain the date code and location information?

Hello David,

There have been no changes to the device that would cause operation outside of the datasheet parameters. Can you describe more clearly the test setup? What is the partner serializer device? Cable? Is this a custom PCB on both sides?

The test setup is power over coax, '953 Bach Channel Controlled by '954. Customer hardware custom boards. Registers sent to you directly.

Were you able to do an ABA swap and show the issue follows the specific UB951 unit? Also can you explain what you mean by 'marginal'?

We are working on an A/B swap next.

We have one board of our new lot that appears to be working better than the others. The part has a slightly different marking.

This issue was resolved offline - the root cause was a problem with the REFCLK circuit bring provided to the 954 on the newer board build - not related to 954 device lot
