DS80PCI800: VOD maximum

Hi team, 

Datasheet mentions that DS80PCI800 can transmit VOD up to 1300 mVp-p. But it also referred that VOD control can be up to 1.4V.

I am confused, 1.3V or 1.4V, which one is VOD maximum?

    Hi Miranda,

    The datasheet maximum VOD setting is 1.4V as you have highlighted in the SMBus register control field.  The typical VOD while programmed to be 1.4V is actually slightly lower.  The text information references the slightly lower voltage available in the highest output setting.  Typically it will be 1300 - 1350 mV.
