Hi Sir,

Below is the topology of TUSB211-Q1 need consult with you that it will work or not?

And I had checked with customer that move the TUSB211-Q1 to FIO board but it can't work due to there is no spacing for it.

Customer is worry about the trace length is too long before USB2.0 Redriver,

Please help to reconfirm it.

If the trace length out of the design rule, customer will put another redriver between USB MUX and BMC, please help to check if any concern.

Below is the insertion loss information,

BMC---2.4dB @240M (21.5” PCB+MUX+0.5”PCB) ---USB2 Redriver --- 1.9dB@240M (0.5”PCB+FFC cable+1”PCB+ Type-A Connector) --- Type-A Connector.

21.5" may be too long, you may need to add USb2 redriver at both end of the long trace.

if we change the re-driver from TUSB211-Q1 to TUSB212(13/14/15), that it will work or not? please help to reconfirm and give me comment

Even tusb212/12/13/15 can not handle 21 in trace.

please help to confirm if we add the re-driver(TUSB211) at MB both side and the topology show as below, that it will work or not?

Hi Henry,

The above topology should work, but care should be taken when tuning the EQ (and DC boost if TUSB212 is used). Keep in mind performance will also depend on BMC signal quality.
