DS90UH927Q-Q1: Can the IC use other interfaces?

Hi team,

I am looking for FPD-link solution, then DS90UH927Q-Q1 and DS90UH928Q-Q1 should be better one for us.
However looking for FPD-link is first time so please let me ask following questions.

SPI or any other interfaces are available? (I know this IC supports I2C) and how many?
Can GPIO be transmitted over the FPD-link?
Is MCU necessary to control the pair or either devices?

Hello Koyo,

1- SPI is not nativly supported in these devices. Nevertheless, some people are using GPIOs to implement SPI.

2- Yes this is possible and described in the d/s.

3- MCU is not necessary for basic functions, but if you want to enable/disable GPIOs for example in use them for different functions then you will need an MCU to that for you.

Hi Hamzeh,

Let me ask other questions regarding this IC.

My understanding is the IC is available 1x I2C and 4x GPIO over FPD-Link, correct?
We want to use 2x I2C and 10x GPIO over FPD-Link, can the device support parallel connection or how can we acheive?
Can this device have spread spectrum?
Can this device compensate when signals become round?
If input signal at below picture is being spread spectrum, can the device accept frequency jitters?

In regards of No.4, I wanted to ask this device can compensate communication quality when a FPD-Link signal is attenuated and receiver can't recognize whether the signal is high or low.
