TUSB8020B: Working mode under processor sleep

Hi team,

TUSB8020B is used in phone.

Could you please tell in which mode TUSB8020B works when the phone is in standby mode? I found there are low-power mode, active mode and so on.

Do we usually force TUSB8020B works in one certain mode by setting the registers?

Hi Chen,

The hub does not need to be forced into any mode. The host controller should put the hub in low power mode (U3 / suspend) before it enters sleep mode.

Thanks for the reply.

Customer feedback the current consumption is too big under suspend mode.

Could you please recommend proper device with lower current consumption? Is there other method to decrease the current consumption under suspend mode?

Hi Chen,

TI does not have a lower suspend power USB 3.0 capable hub.
