Part Number: PCA9306
I have planned to use pca3906 level translator between the Mcu and io expander. Master is mcu and slaves I have planned to use 3 slaves(3 io expanders).
It is stated in the datasheet of Pca9306 that 'In I
2C applications, the bus capacitance limit of 400 pF restricts the number of devices and bus length. The
capacitive load on both sides of the PCA9306 device must be taken into account when approximating the total
load of the system, ensuring the sum of both sides is under 400 pF.'.
What does both sides refer to here.
Mcu side input capacitance and the io expander input capacitance?
Should I add mcu side input cap, input cap of all 3 io expander and that should be less than 400pf?
