TUSB1210: ULPI timing specs

Hi,

I'm looking at the timing specs of the device ULPI interface.

Data and Control setup time are only specified as a max value of 6ns, when in output clock mode. There are no minimum value specified.

Why? There must be one, isn't?

I'm more used to work with min setup time than maximum value.

I have noticed that it is also specified in the same way in the ULPI v1.1 spec.

total cycle time of USB2 HS is 16.6ns, since delay could be 9ns, if setup time is >6ns, there is not much room for hold time.

Hi Brian,

I understand.

My USB link device has a tdd of 8,86ns worst case.

That gives me a setup margin of 16,6 - 8,86 - 6 = 1,74ns.
