DS100MB203: SATA hard disk cannot be connected through DS100MB203. It cannot be recognized to the hard disk

Part Number: DS100MB203

The waveform given by the signal generator is 1M signal and 100K signal.Yellow is the input and blue is the output. There is something wrong with the waveform, but I don't know which part needs to be adjusted. The following figure is 1M 100K and the schematic.

  • Hi,

Where are you measuring the input and output signals?  These waveforms have a significant delay between input and output.

Why are you looking at such slow speed signaling?

Here are some changes to the schematic, I am not sure they are contributing to the issue.

Change pulldown resistors for DEM0 to a 1K ohm.

With the ferrite bead in the VIN path I would add a 10uF capacitor to the VDS_VCC33 net for stability.

    Change R54 to a 1K ohm pulldown.

    Change R56, R57, R66, R67 to a 1K pulldown.

    Change R65 to a 1K pulldown.

    Regards,

    Lee

  • Hello,

thank you for your reply. We have made some changes according to your suggestion. The waveform is as follows: input 200M differential crystal oscillator, blue is the input and yellow is the output.I still can't identify the SATA hard drive.
