Hello,

My customer is looking for a way to use TPS65987D with a MUX like TUSB1042I and wants to be able to write to the MUX over I2C and set the EQ. Since the controller can only write after a mapped trigger event, do you have a recommendation on a good way to set and adjust the EQ?

    Hi Michael,

    The customer should be able to map a specific event to sending the I2C commands responsible for setting the EQ. Otherwise the customer can test using the TPS65987D in debug mode on the GUI and there's a commands tab when in debug mode where you can directly perform a I2C Master Write or Read.

    I noticed on the TUSB1042I datasheet that it could also be set independently via GPIOs. I recommend taking a look at the DisplayPort Alternate Mode Application Note as well, there's a section on setting up the TUSB1046 which can be helpful too.
