Hi Dongbao,
Register 0x01 bit [2] will indicate link status of the PHY. Please note that you will need to read it twice.

Hi Aniruddha,
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry for the confuse of my question, what i am trying to ask is the MAC-PHY link up register.
Dongbao
Hi Dongbao,
There are no dedicated link up registers for MAC-PHY connection. However, in SGMII mode the is a SGMII Autonegotiation complete register bit that will inform the MAC if SGMII autonegotiation is finished between MAC and PHY.

Hi Aniruddha,
Could you help explain what's the difference between 0x01 bit [2] and 0x0133 bit [12]? Why do we need to read it twice?
My customer see random link up (0x0133 bit [12] without connecting partner PHY)....
thanks
Dongbao
Hi Dongbao,
I am checking in our internal database for register 0x133 clarification. I will get back to you by Wednesday (08/12). Does customer see bit [1:0] are also changing without connecting to link partner?

Aniruddha
Hi Dongbao,
Can you share the full register read value for 0x133 when the random link up occurs? After checking with internal database 0x133[12] is not a latch low bit so it only needs to be read once. It is a duplicate link up status register.
