TVS2201: Footprint Orientation

Part Number: TVS2201

Hi,

On the datasheet, the layout example is showing connector input at pad/pin 4 of the footprint and the protected input at pad/pin 1.

What if on my layout, I have it the other way round, for example, connector input at pad/pin 1 and the protected input at pad/pin 4?

Will this be ok?

Thanks

  • Hi David,

    Welcome to E2E!

Pin1-Pin4 are internally connected in the TVS2201. Since they are all shorted it doesn't make a difference if the connector input connects to Pin1 or Pin4 first, as long as they all get connected to the same rail.

    Best regards,

    Andy Robles
