TPS65987D: GPIO Event on Pin Assignment

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1064

Hello,

Is there a way to initiate a GPIO event when a connected device is plugged in in a Assignment E configuration? We are having trouble configuring the TPS65987D and TUSB1064 to work with Assignment E.

The TUSB1064 datasheet says: "The use-case with the AUX-to-SBU switching performed by an external device is shown in Figure 29. In this case, it is assumed that the PD controller is capable of correcting the polarity inversion of the AUX signal and the TUSB1064 is provided with the corrected polarity of the AUX signal through its AUXp/AUXn pins."

Is there more information on this somewhere? The controller "assumed to be capable of correcting the polarity inversion" is a little unclear.

Thanks,

Michael
