DP83867E: Concerns about SGMII operation

①Are there any concerns about connecting DP 83867 to DP II?
For example, there is an example of setting the PHY address for SGMII operation in the data sheet. Is it okay to use the same PHY address for both devices?

②Could you tell me the recommended method of register setting assuming mass production products?
Are there any recommended microcomputers?

③Is it possible to generate and control PHY frames via MDIO?

Hello

For your number 1 can you explain what DPII is? Do you mean a second DP83867 device? To configure both devices independently they will need different PHY Addresses

You may use register 0x0016 for Generated PRBS Packets

Ok, then I believe my message still stands that we recommend using two different phy addresses to know which device you will be communicating to for configuration.

For mass production you will need to contact assembly vendors who may help you with register setting on larger scales.
