P82B715: Maximum speed

What's the max speed this device can support?  It appears it can support fast mode.  Does it support high speed mode: 3.4Mbps?

If not, does TI have a I2C bus extender that supports high speed mode?

    Gregory,

    The P82B715 was designed and spec'd only for 400kHz. 3.4Mbps is much too fast for this device.

    We currently do not have an I2C bus extender which works at 3.4Mps. Most of our I2C portfolio covers 400kHz and some for 1MHz.

    Out of curiosity, what application are you working on which requires an I2C bus extender at 3.4Mps?

    From our portfolio, the only thing I could think of for something at that speed would be an RS485 transceiver or a CAN transceiver.
