DS90UB913A-Q1: Use of Framesync signal in Serializers and Deserializers

Hi TI team,

We are using DS90UB913A-Q1 serializer with DS90UB936-Q1 deserializer. Do we need to give a framesync signal from Deserializer to the Serializer (framesync may be externally or internally generated) in order to get output frames from the serializer ? Or is framesync only used to synchronize multiple input frames coming from the Ser to Deser?

We are only using 1 input in the DS90UB936 DeSerializer.

Hello Khilav,

The frame sync feature is intended to synchronize frames across multiple sensors. It is recommended if you have more than one sensor, but optional in any case. To learn more about frame sync, you can watch this video on the TI-Training page.
