DS90UB954-Q1: GPIO function - PWM dimming for LED

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Dear team,

Customer would like to program our GPIO pin as PWM for LED dimming function at serializer(DS90UB953).

Is this possible to do that? could you guide me if we have design guide line for this function?

thanks for your help.

Regards,

Ben

  • Hello Ben,

PWM is just a high and low signal with a specific duty-cycle. Sure you can use the GPIO in the FC to control the LED dimming.

You just need to set the GPIO you want on the DES to be the input, and the required GPIO on the SER as an output, to make it working.

Do not forget to have a look at the supported GPIO sampling frequency and jitter. for more details see the 954 d/s section "7.4.13.3 Forward Channel GPIO"
