We are planning to mount the DP 83867 and Current Mode PHY ICs made by other companies on the same board and connect the MEDIA DEPENDENT INTERFACE on the board.

In this case, as shown in Figure 4/Figure 5 of the URL below, is it possible to connect without a pulse transformer or with only one pulse transformer?

We recommend using DP83869 as it has been characterized for transformerless design. For magnetic connections, datasheets recommended connections should be followed.

I checked the data sheet [AN -1519 DP 83848 PHYTER Transformerless] at the following URL.

If the speed is 100 BASE or higher and auto-negotiation is turned off,
I understand that Transformerless is possible.

Therefore, I understand that it is possible to connect with Transformerless between the DP 83867 and a current mode PHY IC made by another company if it is fixed to 1000 BASE-T.

Yes transformerless is possible and you can test the same in your system. But unfortunately we have never tested transformerless application ourselves in any system of 867 specifically.
