TCA6424A: higher leakage current than datasheet spec

Part Number: TCA6424A

Hi Team,

My customer find the spec issue of TCA6424A

The suspected fail IC’s current is larger than normal (GOOD: 11~15uA, NG: 200~500uA) at standby mode. (just battery supply for VCCP)

Do we have spec for leakage current? Next step, I will let them do A-B-A swap to verify the issue.

Do you have any suggestion for this issue?

  • Hi Roy,

Are any input ports floating?  If so, try tying them high or low externally or re-configuring them as outputs.  Floating inputs can cause an increase in ICC that varies from device to device.  Often this behavior is misinterpreted as a device failure.
