7.3.3 Dead Battery Mode

During dead battery mode, VDD is not available. CC pins always default to pulldown resistors in dead battery mode.

Dead battery mode means: • TUSB320 in UFP with 5.1-kΩ ± 20% Rd; cable connected and providing charge

In Dead Battery Mode, what current mode will it be?

it is not clear to me that while in UFP mode the current mode is detected through CC pins and GPIO OUT1 and OUT2 are open drain output only

assuming we are not using I2C,

How UFP let DFP know how much current is needed for charging UFP device?

Initially we hope to use 2x 5.1k pull-down at CC1 and CC2 to emulate Dead Battery mode without using CC controller and hope

using this method to charge our UFP device.

Any suggestions to simplifying UFP design (just PD section only) to be used with a commercial USB Type-C PD high power adapter (96W)?
