DS90UB949-Q1: I2S and GPIO conflict

Hi Amelie,

On the 948, GPIO0 and GPIO1 may be shared with Master Mode I2S Data out and Master Mode I2S Word Clock, respectively.

On the 948, what are the settings for registers 0x1D and 0x1E, and what are the settings for registers 0x0D and 0x0E on 949 with port select 0?

Also, on the 949, what are the values for registers 0x12 and 0x1A?

Thank you for the feedback here.  These values look proper and I'm able to replicate your results.

As a workaround, are you able to use dual mode?  This will allow use of the D_GPIO instead of GPIO0/1.

Do you mean that if customer only use single mode, when using I2S, their GPIO 0/1 can't pass through?

If use single mode, how could customer use GPIO 0/1 pass through and I2S normally?

GPIO0/1 are sent on TX0

D_GPIO are sent on TX1

I am confirm with customer that now they are using dual mode, which is D_GPIO setting,

But the issue still happened.

Hi Amelie,

D_GPIO is configured using PORTSEL1 instead of PORTSEL0 if both TX0 and TX1 are being used.

When configuring the register, please ensure PORTSEL1 is being used, or the writes will not occur to the D_GPIO register.
