Mipi to BT.1120 or BT.1120 to BT.1120

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829

Hi Team,

The specification of output chip is

and the display input is

I need SerDes transmission, Mipi to BT.1120 or BT.1120 to BT.1120
Is there any device recommended?

Beat Regards,
Tom Liu

  • Hello Liu,

We do not have any discrete devices which convert MIPI CSI-2 to BT.1120. It may be possible using a video processor solution so I will move your question to a different part of the forum

  • Hi Casey ,

    Thank you for your reply.
I post again to Processor forum. Is it correct?

  • Tom,

The image of video output is not readable on the post above. can you resend the part number?

If I understand the system requirements - it requires 4x parallel input ports, and three overlay managers, then drive out three port displays: one MIPI DSI, two parallel ports. Please confirm this is the correct understanding.

The only processor chip we have that support mipi-DSI is DRA829x. It does support two additional parallel ports, and have 4 overlay manager. So you will need to need another device that bridges the two graphics channel from parallel ports to something DRA829 can take, either via CSI-2 input, or via PCIe. But please note that this solution will not be cost-optimized, as there are many subsystems on DRA829 that will not be used.

let me know if you want to proceed further. Then we will need to check latency requirement.

    regards
