TCA9517: Spec Questions Check

Part Number:

Dear Team,

My customer has some questions about TCA9517 application:

1. How to find the port B VoL value when port B IoL is more than 6mA?

2. About VIL spec of recommended operating conditions, it mean when input voltage is low than 0.3*VCC, the signal is low in this chip, may I right?

3. Could you please explain detail about what is the first、second and subsequent low levels.

Thank you.

Regards,

Jim

    Dear Team,

My customer has some questions about TCA9517 application:

    1. How to find the port B VoL value when port B IoL is more than 6mA?

[Bobby]  The chart is linear so you can abstract the larger values by using the point slope equation.

    2. About VIL spec of recommended operating conditions, it mean when input voltage is low than 0.3*VCC, the signal is low in this chip, may I right?

[Bobby] That is correct only if you are talking about ViL (A side) or ViLB only when A-side is HIGH. B side has a second parameter called ViLc which is under the condition A side is low, the B side input must be below ViLc inorder for A side to be low after it released.

    3. Could you please explain detail about what is the first、second and subsequent low levels.

[Bobby]Are you asking about VoL (A side) and VoL (B side)? A side is spec such that if you have an IoL of 6mA then VoLA is 0.2V max. At VoL (B side), the output voltage here will be typically 0.52V as this is a static voltage offset and will not change much with current.

    Thank you.
