PCA9536: Handling for unused pins

Hi,

Is my understanding correct that the unused pins for P0, P1, P2 and P3 shouldn't be kept floating since each port pin is enabled as an input with high-impedance in the default setting?
If yes, should the pull-down resistors be added to any unused pins?

Hi Kato-san,

Yes, your understanding is correct - it is best not to operate with floating inputs. They could be pulled high or low externally or configured as outputs instead.
