DS90UB947-Q1: reset in 0x01

Part Number: DS90UB947-Q1

hi Team,

When customer write 1 into 0x01 bit1 and bit0, they can't find 947 device on the I2C bus. And then all I2C can't operate. No matter how reboot, customer can't continue to operate I2C. After power off, I2C could work again.

Why the reset in 0x01 has this problem?

  • Hello Amelie,

It is most likely because resetting 947 via digital reset also changes the I2C voltage level selection to 3.3V. If the bus is running at 1.8V it will no longer communicate so only PDB reset can be utilized in the system if that is the case.

Please download the latest datasheet from TI.com since the screen shot above is from an older revision. See register 0x15 in the newest datasheet

    Best Regards,

    Casey
