Dear sirs,
Here we have an idea of product like specific high-end charger for e-scooter (48V nom. / 53.4V max) from USB PD (20V 3A, 20V 5A input) with source capability up to 20V 5A.
The TPS65987 and analogius parts seems to fit best for this desing, still could you recommend the particular DC/DC ICs to implement dual-way charging? LM5170 seems to be overdue for that, is there a possbility to utilize smaller parts like LM5175 with power path switching? Or is it better to use different ICs for buck (LM76005 e.g.) and boost (LM5175) operation?
The design should implement safe charging so current and voltage of the battery to be controlled by MCU here, and any suggestions about practical implementation of that (DAC / resistor arrays for LM5175 e.g.) would be hihgl appreciated.
