DP83TC811S-Q1: DP83TC811EVM Diagnostic Toolkit

Hello,

The diagnostics tool kit section of the DP83TC811 datasheet highlights the expected values and how to read/write to the specific registers in these diagnostic modes. 

I will need to confirm the accuracy however MON_STAT1 and MON_STAT2 should give you an idea of what can be read through registers.

A demo video is a very helpful suggestion.

Thanks for the reply. I do aware of the mentioned application notes.

However, there are no details on the setup on injecting the differential noise. I am curious on the requirement of the noise used in the testing, as in the video of the test setup demo.

We are interested to evaluate these diagnostic functions using DP83TC811EVM board.

It would be really helpful if there is a typical performance graph from TI, especially on the SNR/SQI vs temperature/voltage fluctuations.

Hi Teoh,

The temperature and voltage monitoring values are accurate and represented by the MON_STAT1/2 values as I had mentioned above. We don't have further collateral on this but this would be the best way to monitor your values. 

As for the differential noise, this test's purpose is just to show the SNR so injecting any noise and amplifying its gain should be able to recreate the test.
