Whether TPS65988 is the best TI's solution for VL817M?

Here is the closest product info I could get, but i'm not sure what does the "M" represented.

These devices are very different. The TPS65988 is a Dual port USB Type-C™ and USB PD controller while the VL817M is a Super Speed USB3.1 Gen1 Hub Controller.

Are you looking for a Type-C PD controller or for a USB Hub?

Please use a hub from the latest family of hubs TUSB8044A/ TUSB8043A / TUSB8042A as they have some updates to include USB spec changes.
