Hi Experts,
My customer wants to estimate the power consumption so they are asking about the maximum of Vod.
Do we have any data for max Vod at RL is 54 ohm?

Uchikoshi

Uchikoshi,
Unfortunately the device is not characterized by the max value on this spec. However I think you can use Vcc-0.5V for the estimation, which should have enough margin. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Hao,
Thank you for your reply.
If we calculate the power consumption by using Vcc-0.5V and 60 ohm, it becomes 4.5V/60 = 75mA which is greater than the recommended condition.
I don't think this is a actual current. Otherwise, can we consider that it is the case for no load condition when the max becomes Vcc - 0.5 V?
In that case, we can estimate as below

Uchikoshi,
You're correct that Vcc-0.5V is conservative estimate with a lot of margin. However please be aware the condition of Figure 5 is typical (5V, 25C), not the worst case. What's the purpose of this estimation? If you want to budget the transceiver power, I suggest you leave enough margin.

Hao
