Hello,

Could you please provide some info the DP159 “TMDS lane deskew” operation which is mentioned in the DP159 datasheet ?

The register 15h bit7 =high which means DESKEW_CMPLT: Indicates TMDS lane deskew has completed. Could you please help to provide details of the operation of the “TMDS lane deskew” function?

Is there a specific issue with the TMDS lane deskew? The DP159 provides lane deskew in retimer mode, but does not provide deskew in redriver mode.

Hi David,

Thank you for you reply, and there is no specified issue about the TMDS lane deskew, because when the register 15h bit7 is high, it means the TMDS lane deskew is completed, but if we read it low, it means the TMDS lane deskew doesn't complete, how to do about it? Now our customer met a question about the LCD sometimes appear the red spot, or sometimes appear black image, doesn't it relate with TMDS lane deskew?

Is the DP159 in pin-strap or I2C mode? If it is in I2C mode, why do they program the register 0x09 and 0x0A with two different sets of value?

For HDMI2.0, if they toggle the PD_EN bit, does the issue go away?

I don't know the definition of 'XST_SUCCESS' in their code. Why do they want to set register 0x09 to 0x06?

Some sources switch between the HDMI1.4 and 2.0 without turning off their output first. In this case, you want to toggle the HPD_SNK or the PD_EN to reset the DP159 first, and then the DP159 can correctly lock onto the right signal.
