TPS65987D: TPS6598x OCC function in high current PDO start up

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987, TPS55288

Hi all,

My customer is testing TPS55288 and they hope its OCP delay function can help TPS65987/x to solve some short over current conditions from power sink (like NB) when high current PDO (like 20V3A) is negotiated. Generally we can set high peak current % in reg 0x32 to solve the issue but it's not the spec. we hope in normal PDO condition (the current limit spec. is too high in normal ).  Can we set OCC (in register 0x27)  to solve the problem?

Or we can use TPS55288's OCP delay funcaiton and disable TPS65987's OCP protection in some special condition?

Best regards,

Gary Teng
