Is the PCA9548A an auto-closing mux?

Thanks for your quick response. Auto-closing is a mux that closes automatically after a given number (one, in most cases) of I2C transfers.

Thanks for clarifying. No, the PCA9548A's channels are only enabled or disabled manually via I2C writes, they will not automatically toggle based on activity. Unfortunately I'm not aware of a TI I2C switch/mux with that ability.

Hey Max,
No problem. Not having having that feature in our case is good. Our I2C topology is root->PCA9548A mux->PCA9548A mux. What Linux refers to as "Parent-locked mux as a parent of a parent-locked mux". Auto-closing in this case would be troublesome so all good.
