DS280DF810: DS280DF810 OR DS280MB810 TEST PIN and cross-point

Part Number: DS280DF810
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS280MB810,

Hi team,

My customer want to use the DS280DF810 /DS280MB810  cross-point feature.

From the datasheet, we can achieve it with SMBUS configuration. Currently my customer wants to make the transition within 50ms, whether the time is ok(how long it will take?

Whether we can use pin configuration to get the  cross-point feature. Whether we can use the test pins as DS280MB810 SEL0/1?

    • The DS280MB810 switching time will be well within 50ms. The typical DS280MB810 analog mux switching time is around 500ns. I

    • Yes, as captured in the DS280MB810 datasheet pin mode may be used to configure the Crosspoint. The pin mode is enabled by setting shared register 0x05[1]=1

1: MUXSEL0_TEST0 and MUXSEL1_TEST1 are used to configure the crosspoint mux. MUXSEL0_TEST0 controls the crosspoint for channels 0/1 and 4/5. MUXSEL1_TEST1 controls the crosspoint for channels 2/3 and 6/7. For mux pin-control, Reg_05[0] must also be 0, which is the power-on default value.

0: Crosspoint mux is configured on a per-channel basis with Reg_0x06[0].
