Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DSI84
Hi Team,
Customer uses the SN65DSI84 to connect the Qualcomm 820A and the LVDS display. At present, it is found that the SN65DSI84 of some machines will report a PLL UNLOCK error. After the SN65DSI84 chip is reset, the PLL unlock still exists (the current software processing mechanism is: IRQ interrupt detected Then read the register through IIC and clear the error flag bit for 10 consecutive times. If there is still an error, the hardware will reset SN65DSI84).
After a period of time (ranging from tens of seconds to several minutes), the PLL unlock error will automatically disappear, and during the PLL unlock error period, the display does not show any abnormality.
The reference clock of the SN65DSI84 chip comes from DSI CLOCK. I don’t know what causes the PLL unlock error. Is it possible that the Jitter of DSI CLOCK is too large?
