Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HD3SS213
Hi,
I'm looking for a reference design for the HD3SS214 or a dev/eval kit if it exists.
I'm also wondering if I can daisy chain these together. If so, how deep can it go?
Thanks!

Hi,
You can use the HD3SS213 as the reference design since the HD3SS213 is pin-to-pin compatible with the HD3SS214: https://www.ti.com/tool/HD3SS213-1-2MUXEVM.
You can cascading the HD3SS214, but the insertion loss, Ron, etc., will start to add up and the effect is not always linear proportion to the number of cascading MUX. This will affect the overall system design margin so you may consider adding redriver or retimer at the output of the MUX to compensate for the effect of cascading MUX.
Thanks
David
Hi,
I can't find any schematic or layout files. Would you be able to send me both of those?
Thanks,

Would you please accept my friendship request so I can send the board file to you?

If I use the HD3SS213 eval kit design and put the HD3SS214 in its place, will it work as expected or are there other differences between the chips?
HI,
The two devices are pin-to-pin compatible with each other. The difference is that the HD3SS213 supports up to 5.4G while the HD3SS214 supports up to 8.1G.
Thanks
