Part Number: TCAN4550
Hi All,
Does the function RXD_INT Request (BWRR) be shielded in sleep mode?
Only master wake TCAN4550, the data will transfer.

Allen,
Unless the customer is using the TCAN4550-Q1 in transceiver test mode, the RXD_INT is an internal signal that occur when a wake request occurs on the CAN bus. When a wake event happens in sleep mode, the RXD_INT internal logic signal is used to indicate the wake request to the wake logic on the device. At this point the device then transitions to standby mode.
Does this make sense?

Hi Eric,
Maybe I understand you. The test mode is just a work around. The internal interrupt of RX will happen. But in test mode like figure.29 in the spec. The internal connection is cut off. External GPIO1/2 simulate the internal interrup. Use can never send a external interrupt to implement to shield the RX wake up.
I have a question that if configure like figure.28 , internal EN_INT is mapped to external nINT. In spec 8.3.11 this function just can switch between normal mode and standby mode. I didn't find the introduction of EN_INT. Does it control the interrupt function? from it‘s name ,it means "enable interrupt"? Can we disable interrupt in test mode?
Allen,
Yes, your understanding of the first part is correct. Unless the device is placed into the test mode where RXD is routed to the GPO2 pin, the wake-up signal cannot be shielded.
For the second part, the nINT pin only functions as enable during test mode, the EN_INT naming convention is just to reference that it is the interrupt pin during normal operation.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
