Hi team,

customer asked about the eye height standard of DS90UB954-Q1 tested in CML pin, but there is only eye width standard in the datasheet. can you tell me?

Hi Terry,

Please refer to AC Electrical Characteristics table on page 15 for back channel eye height on the 954 d/s and Electrical Characteristics on page 10 for forward channel eye height on the 953 d/s.

If the partner device is not the 953, please check the correct serializer d/s for the forward channel eye height. It should be in the EC table.

thanks for your feedback.Is this the eye height requirement for the output of DS953 or in the CMLOUT pin of DS954? we are expecting to get the data from CMLOUT pin.

Hi Terry,

This eye height requirement can also be used for the CMLOUT pin of the 954. If you look at figure 11 in the 954 d/s and compare it to the 953 Vod p-p, you can see that the specs match. If you are looking at CMLOUT for link robustness, I recommend you used MAP which is a tab featured in the ALP GUI.
