Hi Team,
Below is our using scenario. Could DP141RLJEVM could support up to 70cm wire harness?
What factor may cause the limitation?

Roy

The DP141 is a linear redriver. Its RX equalizer can only compensate for the 10cm wire harness loss between the motherboard and the EVM. The 70cm wire harness is expected to be compensated by the motherboard TX and the panel RX.
Thanks

Hi David,
If we use DP141 as redriver, why the 70cm wire harness is expected to be compensated by the motherboard TX and the panel RX instead of DP141 and the panel RX.

In the latest updated image, the DP141 would compensate the 70cm wire harness. Do you know what is the loss of this 70cm wire harness?
Thanks
David
Hi David,
Sorry that I'm not familiar with wire harness loss? Could you let me know what is the unit or how to estimate it?
In addition, could you let me know the dimension of the EVM board? Customer would like to but EVM board directly and put it into their application.

The EVM dimension is 2.89in x 3in.
The insertion loss is typically expressed in dB. You want to make sure the loss is within the DP141 RX EQ compensation range.
Thanks

Can you please clarify your question? I don't understand the reference to "Tall".
Thanks
