DS90UB964-Q1: Different osc frequency, large different frame rate

Part Number: DS90UB964-Q1

Hi Team,

At present, our customers have the following problems when using 964 to connect our 4 camera modules.

1. Our module solution is AR0143+AP0101+913, and the working mode of 913 is set to "External Oscillator mode". Image output frame rate is 25 frames

Solution A:

The external crystal is 38M, and the 913 outputs 19M to AP0101, and AP0101 outputs 76MHz parallel port image data.

Solution B:
The external crystal oscillator is 37.125M, and the 913 outputs 18.5625M to AP0101, and AP0101 outputs 74.25MHz parallel port image data.

2. When the customer uses solution A, the 964 can output images normally, and the frame rate is also normal at 25 frames.
But when using the solution B, although the 964 can output images normally, the frame rate is abnormal, which is 6 frames.

3. The attachment is the initialization code of 964 provided by the customer.

Could you please kindly give some advice? Thanks!

  • Hello Amelie,

Please double check the initialization and configuration of the sensor here because 913/964 can not change the video frame rate. If the image is displayed correctly but the frame rate is incorrect, then most likely the problem is with the sensor configuration, not with the SERDES

    Best Regards,

    Casey
