Yes if that bit is high then lock will always be high regardless of SER connection

I confirmed that the LOCK out kept high without input FPD-Link signal only if internal pattern generator is enabled.

Even if 0x68[3] is set, Lock goes Low during FPD-LINK data transmission (internal pattern generator is disabled).

Is my understanding correct?

This does not match expectations. With 0x68[3] = 1, then the LOCK pin will go high if there is no SER attached or when there is a SER attached and the operation is normal

During normal operation (sending video data over LVDS line), I set  0x68[3] = 1 and then unplug the cable.

Then the LOCK pin will go Low.

I wonder if there is a difference between 1. unplug after setting 0x68[3] and 2. unplug then set 0x68[3].

That is a strange observation - not matching our expectations. However I'm trying to understand specifically the issue you are trying to resolve from your original post. Are you using internal PATGEN during this test?
