TUSB4020BI: About OVERCURxz terminal and BATENxz terminal

Hello,

We do not use a power switch IC because we connect embedded devices to downstream ports. Therefore, we do not need overcurrent detection processing either.
In this case, should we connect external pull-up resistors to each OVERCURxz pin?
Also, should pull-down resistors be externally connected to each BATENxz pin?

Hello,

You can connect pullups on the OVERCURz inputs, buleave BATENxz pins left unconnected. Make sure you set your hub configuration to FULLPWRMGMTz = 1, to indicate there is no power switch control on the downstream ports.

To set FULLPWRMGMTz = 1, we will leave the FULLPWRMGMTz terminal unconnected.
Should we connect a pull-up resistor to this terminal?

For a USB 2.0 hub, the FULLPWRMGMT pin will only impact the descriptors that the hub reports, it does not impact functionality. If the application will not need a USB-IF compliance logo, it is ok to leave it floating.
