DS90UB913A-Q1: PCLK to 913

Part Number: DS90UB913A-Q1

Hi Team.

If the TI913 is designed to use external osc mode, the external OSC 48MHz is provided to the TI913, and the TI913 48/2=24MHz is provided to the sensor.
In 12bit HF mode, is it required that the PCLK output from the sensor to TI913 must be 72MHz?
If the sensor output is not 72MHz, can TI913 receive it?

  • Hello,

When in external oscillator mode the ratio between the pixel clock and the external oscillator must be preserved.  So for 12-bit HF the ratio must be 1.5.

The datasheet explains in section 8.4.1: "In the 10-bit mode, the pixel clock frequency divided by the external oscillator frequency must be 2. In the 12-bit high frequency mode, the pixel clock frequency divided by the external oscillator frequency must be 1.5."

    Regards,

    Nick
