LMH0397: Full-Duplex/Half-Duplex Functionality

Hi,

Since the LMH0397 has bidirectional functionality, is it possible to transmit data at half-duplex or even full-duplex between two units over 1 coaxial wire?

Hi Lucas,

Yes it is possible to transmit or receive in half duplex fashion. There should be some protocol between two entities to know whose turn it is to transmit or receive.

Hi Nassar,

Thanks for your confirmation on half-duplex. Would it be possible to have a full-duplex solution over one cable? What's the isolation level when using the unit as transmitter?

Hi Lucas,

Full-duplex is not possible. Device was not designed to meet this requirement. Therefor isolation is a mute point.
