DS90UB953-Q1: CLK_OUT/IDX pin

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

Hi Expert,

My customer have some question about DS90UB953-Q1 CLK_OUT/IDX pin.

1) Datasheet says, "A minimum load impedance at the CLK_OUT/IDX pin of 35 kΩ is required when using the CLK_OUT function".

If this requirement is not met, do they need any external circuit for it? Could you please let me know the your recommended circuit at <35kohm load?

2) Customer is considering IDX setting #1.

The R_low accuracy must be +/-1%. right? If you can accept more poor accuracy, please let me know the acceptable range?

They cannot find any component for 40.2kohm +/-1% . Can they use several resistors in series?

Thanks

Muk

  • Hello Mukono-san,

Is there a reason why the customer cannot achieve the 35 kohm minimum? Based on the IDX table of the datasheet, it should be no problem.

You can choose a different value resistor that is similar. This is ok because you just need to pull the voltage low at the pin.

    Thanks,
    Sally

Could you please let me know the reason of your comment that you said no problem? Is it meaning , it is no problem, because there are IDX resistors?

Could you please let me know the selectable range? Can they select 39kohm, 40kohm or 43kohm?

    Thanks

  • Hello Mukuno-san,

    1. Yes, it should be no problem because of the IDX resistors. If they follow the d/s resistor values, then they should not worry about this.

    2. They can use the 40kohm.

    Thanks,
    Sally
